Detailed

The DARIAH Code Sprint 2019 follows the proved pattern of the first code sprint with three days of informal coding and discussions around the overall topic of bibliographical metadata. Although there will be some structuring items on the agenda, most of the time is available to the participants to discuss and work on their topic.

We will start together in plenum on Tuesday at lunch time (1 PM at the venue in Charlottenstraße). After a short welcome to the event the organisers will present the three tracks (see the track descriptions on this website) and arrange the groups. It is advised to stick to one group over the code sprint but of course it is also possible to switch groups. We try to keep everything as open as possible. After this setup we can start at 3 or 4 PM with the work in the individual groups. The afternoon of the first day is dedicated to a detailed introduction into the tracks and the planning of the upcoming work. The first day ends at 6 PM.

The second day of our code sprint starts at 9:00 AM and is filled with working in the individual groups. There will be a (free) lunch on loaction at 1 PM. It is possible to have a look into the other groups. Beside this we leave the organisation of the day to the individual groups.

Thursday starts at 9:00 AM in the individual groups. Until 11 AM the results are wrapped up for the presentation and summary session until 13 AM finished with a (free) lunch on location.

Privacy note: Please note that we intend to document the event on this website and through other means. For this end we will also take photos of the participants. Please let us know in case you don't want to be photographed. We will consider this.
